We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our San Jose, California facility. This role is central to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our entire inventory system, which is a critical component of our **logistics** network. You will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and managing stock levels to ensure optimal availability and minimize waste. The Inventory Control Specialist will utilize advanced inventory management software and analytical tools to track product flow, forecast demand, and identify trends. A key aspect of this role involves ensuring proper handling and storage of goods, which may involve some **lifting** and organizing of materials. Upholding rigorous **safety** standards and ensuring compliance with **PPE** usage are non-negotiable. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to take a lead role in optimizing our inventory management and contributing to the overall efficiency of our **logistics** operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and recommend actions.
- Manage and optimize warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Generate regular inventory reports, analyzing key performance indicators.
- Ensure adherence to all **safety** regulations and proper use of **PPE**.
- Oversee the proper handling and storage of goods, including any necessary **lifting**.
- Support **logistics** team in managing inbound and outbound flow of inventory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent understanding of **logistics** principles and inventory management best practices.
- Knowledge of **safety** protocols and **PPE** requirements in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform moderate **lifting** and physical tasks as needed.
