We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics facility in Tampa, Florida! This position is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and effectively to move, sort, stack, and retrieve inventory. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of forklift operations, adheres to strict safety standards, and is committed to maintaining an organized workspace. We provide all necessary PPE to ensure a safe working environment. Key duties include performing pre-shift equipment checks, loading and unloading trailers, transporting materials to and from storage locations, and assisting with inventory control. This role requires a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse associates to meet daily operational goals. Regular lifting and the ability to operate in a physically demanding environment are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas accurately and safely.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Must be capable of lifting items up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification and clean driving record.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of logistics and material handling best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and operate machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, including PPE usage.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
