Join our fast-paced distribution center in San Antonio, Texas, as a Material Handler. You will play a vital role in the movement and organization of materials throughout the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading goods, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring materials are stored safely and efficiently. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of operations within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Receive, identify, and sort incoming materials.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material handling and storage.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
