Join our bustling Atlanta, Georgia warehouse as a Forklift Operator! We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious individuals to expertly maneuver forklifts and other heavy machinery to move, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility. Your role will be essential in maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our logistics network. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and an unwavering commitment to safety. You will be responsible for inspecting equipment before use, performing routine maintenance checks, and ensuring that all lifting and stacking operations are conducted safely and efficiently. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions precisely, and collaborate effectively with team members. Experience with various types of forklifts, including reach trucks and order pickers, is a plus. We prioritize a safe working environment, so adherence to all safety guidelines and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE is expected. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to designated areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in a safe and organized manner.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all logistics and shipping/receiving procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and moderate lifting as required.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
