We are looking for a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This critical role is responsible for the efficient and accurate receipt of all incoming goods. You will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all items are accounted for, inspected for damage, and properly documented. Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, identifying discrepancies, and reporting any issues. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify quantities and descriptions of received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage and report any findings.
- Document all received items into the inventory management system.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between orders and received shipments.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further warehouse processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with delivery drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors.
- Assist with inventory control and stocktaking as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Basic math and computer skills, including proficiency with inventory software is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
