We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Coordinator in Baltimore, Maryland, to oversee and manage daily warehouse operations. This position requires a proactive individual who can ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety within the distribution center. You will be instrumental in coordinating the flow of goods, managing inventory, and supervising warehouse staff. Your role will involve troubleshooting operational issues, implementing process improvements, and maintaining high standards of organization and cleanliness. This is a key position within our logistics chain, contributing significantly to the overall success of our supply chain management. You will be expected to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure that all warehouse operations are performed safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and regulations.
- Train and manage warehouse staff, providing guidance and feedback.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as transportation and customer service, to ensure seamless logistics.
- Maintain records of warehouse activities and prepare reports on operational performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics management.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience with forklifts and other material handling equipment is a plus.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including the consistent use of PPE.
