Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for organization? Our busy distribution center in Des Moines, Iowa, is looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every step. Your responsibilities will include receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming goods, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and reporting any discrepancies. Maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures and utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential. This position requires a high level of accuracy and a commitment to upholding our high standards for quality and service. - Receiving, unpacking, and inspecting all incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately documenting all received goods into the inventory management system.
- Identifying and reporting any damages, shortages, or discrepancies immediately.
- Verifying product codes and quantities before accepting deliveries.
- Coordinating with shipping departments to schedule incoming freight.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Proper use and adherence to all safety guidelines and required PPE.
- Assisting with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Communicating effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Supporting overall logistics flow and warehouse efficiency.
We are looking for individuals with strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs regularly. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred. This role is key to our supply chain success.
