We are seeking a diligent and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping labels, verifying package contents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining detailed shipping records. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to upholding our high standards of service in the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately sort and label outgoing shipments for timely delivery.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on outgoing packages to prevent errors.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping logs and inventory records.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
- Operate relevant shipping software and equipment.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training preferred. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is a plus. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs) occasionally. Familiarity with shipping software and basic computer skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A commitment to workplace Safety is paramount. Must be authorized to work in the US. This is a key role within our logistics operations.
