Blue Moon Metals is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Engineer to join our corporate office, supporting all projects across our organization. This pivotal role is responsible for providing technical expertise, project oversight, and strategic guidance to ensure successful delivery of engineering projects company-wide.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate engineering efforts for multiple projects, ensuring adherence to technical standards, budgets, and schedules.
  • Support project managers and site teams with technical expertise, problem-solving, and risk assessment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and review project scopes, specifications, drawings, and deliverables for accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including design, procurement, construction, and quality assurance—to drive project objectives and resolve technical challenges.
  • Facilitate technical meetings, workshops, and design reviews; present recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Lead initiatives to improve engineering processes, standardization, and best practices across all projects.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of junior engineers and project staff.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to the metals and construction sectors.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or related discipline); Master’s degree or P.Eng designation is an asset.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead project role in metals, mining, construction, or heavy industry.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements in Canada and internationally.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with engineering and project management software (e.g., Deswik or other CAD software, MS Project, Primavera).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
