Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to hire an IT Applications Engineer to manage and optimize enterprise tools that power engineering workflows and CI/CD pipelines. This role focuses on the administration, support, and continuous improvement of platforms such as the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), JFrog Artifactory, and HashiCorp Vault, all operating within a modern AWS cloud environment. You'll work closely with engineering teams to ensure these systems are secure, reliable, and scalable, while driving automation and efficiency across the organization. This position is located in Austin, Texas. Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain enterprise applications including Atlassian tools, Artifactory, and Vault in AWS Ensure high availability, performance, and security of critical systems Collaborate with engineering teams to support CI/CD workflows and optimize development pipelines Implement automation and scripting solutions to streamline operations Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across applications and infrastructure Requirements Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field 5+ years of experience in IT applications engineering or similar roles Hands-on experience managing applications and databases in AWS Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible), a plus Scripting and automation expertise (Python, Bash, Groovy), a plus Linux system administration skills, a plus Contract Benefit Offerings:
