Key duties include managing shipping manifests, tracking shipments, and maintaining organized records. While the core of this role is administrative, occasional physical involvement, such as light Lifting and handling packages, will be part of your responsibilities. Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process all shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping manifests before dispatch.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled, weighed, and measured.
- Maintain meticulous records of all outgoing shipments and tracking information.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external logistics partners.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and inventory tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in shipping software and general computer applications.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail is critical for this role.
- Ability to perform occasional light Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Understanding of logistics principles and shipping best practices.
- Commitment to safety, including proper use of PPE and safe handling techniques.
