We are looking for a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our bustling warehouse in Detroit, Michigan. This role is essential for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately documented, packed, and dispatched in a timely manner. The Shipping Clerk will work closely with the logistics team to manage shipping schedules, prepare shipping labels, and coordinate with carriers. Responsibilities include verifying the contents of outgoing shipments against orders, ensuring proper packaging to prevent damage during transit, and maintaining accurate shipping records. You will be responsible for managing shipping software and ensuring compliance with all shipping regulations. A keen eye for detail is crucial to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. The ability to handle occasional heavy lifting, up to 40 pounds, is part of the job requirements. Safety is a top priority; all employees are expected to follow strict safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position offers a great opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics operation. You will contribute to the efficiency of our distribution process and play a key role in maintaining our reputation for reliable service.
