Inland Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine is a well-established orthopaedic specialty practice located in Pullman, Washington and Moscow, Idaho, looking for a dedicated Physician Assistant to be a part of our growing team. Join our team of physicians who pride themselves on providing exceptional, patient-centered care. This position prefers two years of orthopaedic advanced practice experience with a sports medicine focus. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, seeing most general ortho conditions including those presenting in our walk-in Express Care clinic with experience administering injections. This role is ideal for a provider who enjoys autonomy, rapid clinical decision-making, and delivering high-quality orthopaedic care in an outpatient setting.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and vital signs assessment.
* Manage Express Care/Walk-In outpatient clinic by providing patient education, triage, and follow-up care for orthopedic conditions.
* Administer injections such as corticosteroids and botulinum toxin treatments for muscle spasticity or pain management.
* Perform suturing, wound care, and other minor procedures with precision and attention to detail.
* Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems (Epic) for accurate documentation and data management.
* Participate in clinical research initiatives, data collection, and quality improvement projects to advance orthopedic practices.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage patients in an empathetic manner.
* Excellent clinician to clinician interpersonal skills to engage and coordinate with other providers.
* Hard working and able to handle the pressure of a fast-paced environment.
*Requirements*
* Valid certification as a Physician Assistant with current state licensure in good standing.
* Prior experience in orthopedic surgery or musculoskeletal medicine is highly preferred.
* Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; telehealth experience is advantageous.
* Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to orthopedics.
* Ability to perform physical examinations, diagnostic assessments, and medication administration competently.
* Experience with suturing, injections (including botulinum toxin), and acute pain management protocols.
* Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and hospital documentation standards.
* Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and patient safety protocols aligned with HIPAA regulations. Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
