Sr. Business Analyst
CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Business Analyst who will partner with stakeholders across all business units and key third parties to define and document business processes and software requirements in support of technology initiatives. This role plays a critical part in driving solutions for online products, content management systems, and enterprise business information systems, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery. Job Responsibilities: Effectively lead requirements gathering sessions and document the results Develop, revise and/or utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirement specifications Resolve complex requirements conflicts through effective stakeholder engagement Construct complex process models and data models Manage change control processes in relation to requirements documentation Understand principles of Business and IT strategy within CopperPoint. Understand key insurance business processes and architectural aspects of information systems and advises on implications to IT systems, websites, etc. Provide thought leadership and make recommendations during the development or modification of business Understand relevant quality criteria and perform quality assurance of business analysis deliverables processes and software requirements taking into consideration the business impact of the changes Ensure business process artifacts and quality assurance procedures are updated and maintained as corporate assets Effectively present options and recommendations to stakeholders Advise and recommend on the use of requirements analysis tools (e.g. CASE, Requirements Databases) Produce basic business cases and seek approval from senior stakeholders Perform project estimation for BA related tasks Run project definition workshops, resolve complex scoping issues and stakeholder conflicts Produce project definition/project initiation documentation clearly defining scope and project objectives Make recommendations for requirements approach for a specific project Help identify and document project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies Identify and manage/support business implementation tasks Run Delivery Transition Workshops involving business stakeholders and delivery teams Qualifications/Competencies: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in such areas as information systems, mathematics, finance, insurance, risk management or business administration. Graduate level study in the previously stated areas is a PLUS. Five plus years' experience as a business analyst in the development of complex software systems (required.) Must have skills in leading requirement sessions with business users 5+ yrs, defining system requirements, regulatory and statistical reporting and integration within the company's financial management system Senior level skills in the development of Use Cases, User Stories, Business Rules and User Interface Specification Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development Experience in developing requirements for software solutions and planning and executing the implementation process Strong thought leadership and development of recommendations based on business impact Proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated strong business acumen and awareness to develop cross-functional expertise quickly Demonstrated expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Prior successful experience in translating business requirements into functional specifications Prior knowledge and demonstrated experience in developing systems using agile methods, business rules engines, data transformation tools (ETL), knowledge of user interface design standards Preferred

Employees will accrue 0.0846 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) per paid hour, which may total 22 days a year. In addition, employees will also receive 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually Compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
