Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible. The Sales Associate is part of our Sales organization covering the Southern California region and can work remotely. This role is designed for individuals looking to start a career in sales within the life sciences industry. The Sales Associate will focus on generating leads, qualifying prospects, and supporting the sales pipeline for our full portfolio of products, including custom oligonucleotide solutions across key application areas such as qPCR/dPCR, CRISPR, Functional Genomics, Synthetic Biology, and Next Generation Sequencing. This position reports directly to the Southern California Regional Sales Manager. The role requires regular in-person presence at customer sites, university, and industry events to maximize visibility and engagement. This role offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in scientific sales while building strong relationships in the Southern California research community. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Generate and qualify leads within the Southern California region through proactive outreach and engagement by visiting universities, research institutions and corporate campuses, walking lab aisles to discover new opportunities, and engaging with scientists and decision-makers. Represent the company on-site by hosting information tables in university lobbies or corporate campuses, answering questions, and showcasing our solutions to generate qualified leads. Collaborate closely with Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) and Inside Sales Representatives to ensure alignment on regional strategies, smooth handoff of qualified opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Develop product knowledge and learn consultative selling techniques to uncover customer needs and position appropriate solutions. Build proficiency in CRM tools to manage leads, track outreach activities, and maintain accurate records of customer interactions. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor's degree in a Life Science-related discipline or related field required; Master's or PhD in a life science field is a plus. Strong interest in life sciences and commercial roles. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable initiating conversations and building rapport in person. Ability to work independently and spend significant time in the field. Familiarity with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, CRISPR, NGS) preferred. Valid Drivers License It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Laboratory experience in molecular biology or related fields. Previous customer-facing experience (internships, academic collaborations, or similar). This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement in which you can work remotely from your home. Additional information about this remote work arrangement will be provided by your interview team. Explore the flexibility and challenge that working for IDT can provide. The annual salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000. This job is also eligible for commission, and the total compensation target is $90,000-110,000 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
