Are you a detail-oriented individual looking for a stable role in Kansas City, Missouri? We have an exciting opportunity for a Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team! In this critical position, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient receipt of all incoming shipments. This includes verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and properly documenting all received items. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for any damage or defects.
- Document all received items in the inventory management system.
- Report discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and stage received goods for further processing.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or a similar role is a plus.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and logistics is beneficial.
- Must be committed to safety.
