Become a vital part of our efficient logistics operations as a Distribution Center Associate in Madison, Wisconsin. This position offers a comprehensive range of duties, from receiving and stocking goods to accurately picking and packing orders for shipment. We are seeking individuals who are committed to maintaining a high standard of productivity, accuracy, and safety within our fast-paced distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Sort and place inventory in appropriate locations within the distribution center.
- Utilize RF scanners or pick lists to accurately select items for customer orders.
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring quality and correct labeling.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, including mandatory PPE usage and safe lifting practices.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Operate material handling equipment like pallet jacks and dollies as required.
- Support the overall smooth functioning of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center role is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for the duration of the shift.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- A proactive approach to safety and adherence to all guidelines and PPE requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
