We are looking for a diligent and physically capable Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in Dallas, Texas. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks essential to the smooth operation of our logistics center. This includes receiving, identifying, and moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring inventory is properly stored and organized. Your role is critical in maintaining the flow of goods and supporting our fulfillment processes. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel and drivers, ensuring efficient handling and accurate tracking of all materials. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace safety, and all employees are required to use appropriate PPE and adhere to all safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse environments, be comfortable with manual labor and heavy lifting, and possess a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and products.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Move materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts and assist with stocktaking.
- Organize materials in designated storage areas for efficient access.
- Prepare materials for shipment or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently as trained.
- Assist in other warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs, regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and material handling equipment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Commitment to workplace safety and hazard awareness.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Attention to detail is crucial for inventory accuracy.
