Job Summary:
Become a Distribution Center Associate at our busy facility in Washington, D.C. We are looking for motivated individuals to contribute to the efficient operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving and inspecting incoming goods, stocking inventory, fulfilling orders through picking and packing, and preparing shipments for dispatch. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods within our logistics network and ensuring timely delivery to our clients. We prioritize a safe and productive work environment, emphasizing adherence to all safety protocols. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of handling the physical demands of warehouse work.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
  • Verify inventory against shipping documents.
  • Stock merchandise accurately in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
  • Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Contribute to inventory accuracy through diligent tracking.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Participate in safety drills and training sessions to promote a safe logistics environment.
  • Ensure efficient handling of materials throughout the distribution process.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
  • Familiarity with logistics and inventory control principles.
