Our Raleigh, North Carolina distribution center is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. If you have experience operating forklifts and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, this role is for you. You will be responsible for safely moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and arranging inventory within the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and put-away tasks.
- Follow all safety regulations and warehouse procedures.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support the shipping and receiving departments as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Thorough understanding of forklift operation safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and balance.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
