Job Summary:
We are searching for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy and management within our bustling New York City logistics hub. In this vital role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of our stock levels. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing warehouse efficiency and supporting our supply chain operations. You will work closely with the warehouse and logistics teams to track inventory movements, manage stock rotation, and identify potential issues before they impact operations. A strong understanding of inventory management software and systems is essential. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to enforce all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and promote safe practices throughout the warehouse. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The physical aspects of the job may involve some light lifting and movement around the warehouse. We are looking for a proactive individual who can identify trends, suggest improvements, and contribute to the overall accuracy and efficiency of our inventory systems. Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics field is required. Your contribution will directly impact our ability to meet customer demand and maintain operational profitability. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on stock status.
  • Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
  • Support logistics operations by ensuring accurate and available stock.
