Join our Madison, Wisconsin team as a Receiving Clerk and play a vital role in our supply chain. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to manage the incoming flow of goods into our facility. This position is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that all received items are processed efficiently and correctly. You will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and preparing items for storage. A strong commitment to Safety and accuracy is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system accurately.
- Label and stage received products for put-away or distribution.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and internal departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Follow proper Lifting guidelines for handling packages.
- Support overall logistics operations with accurate receiving documentation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving, or administrative role preferred. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software are a plus. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. A strong focus on Safety and efficiency in a logistics setting.
