Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Fort Worth, Texas! This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods into and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and preparing outgoing shipments. This includes staging, loading, and unloading trucks, as well as maintaining a clean and organized dock area. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be physically capable of performing tasks that involve significant lifting, and understand the importance of safety in a fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with our inventory and dispatch teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of all goods. Proficiency in using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required or provided) is beneficial. Compliance with all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy.
  • Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Sort, label, and store received inventory appropriately.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and staging.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Ensure the dock area is clean, organized, and safe.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding shipment status.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform manual labor, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and use of PPE.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
