Job Summary:
Our rapidly growing distribution center in Washington, D.C. is seeking a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to contribute to our operational excellence. This role is multifaceted, involving a range of activities from receiving and stocking to picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. You will be a crucial link in our supply chain, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in the logistics sector.Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
  • Sort and place received inventory into designated storage areas.
  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
  • Stage outgoing shipments for transportation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all regulations.
  • Participate in inventory counts and assist with discrepancy resolution.
  • Adhere to all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Understanding of basic logistics and inventory control concepts.
  • Commitment to following Safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
