Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new challenge? Our state-of-the-art distribution center in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our operations team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory, and staging orders for shipment. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts will be crucial to maintaining productivity and ensuring the integrity of our goods. We are committed to providing a secure and supportive work environment where safety is paramount.Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse, including production, storage, and shipping docks.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance issues or defects immediately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including counting, locating, and organizing stock.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies regarding forklift operation and warehouse procedures.
- Follow designated routes and ensure clear pathways for efficient workflow.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting, up to 70 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices and the importance of wearing appropriate PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Strong understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
