We are looking for enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our thriving logistics center in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked and expertly packed for shipment. Your responsibilities will include navigating the warehouse to retrieve items, utilizing scanning technology to maintain inventory accuracy, and preparing products for their journey to the customer. This position requires a sharp eye for detail, physical stamina for consistent lifting and movement, and a strong commitment to safety standards, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). As a key member of our logistics team, your efficiency and accuracy directly impact customer satisfaction and operational success. The ideal candidate is a reliable, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic, eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse inventory based on order specifications.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track picked items and update inventory levels.
- Inspect picked items for quality and damage before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials to ensure product protection.
- Label packages correctly for shipment and prepare them for staging.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to company standards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock organization as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment and shipping targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in picking, packing, or a general warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product information accurately.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology and basic computer skills.
- Physical ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, along with bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe workplace.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as required.
