This role involves a variety of tasks essential to getting orders to our customers quickly and accurately, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. Responsibilities:
- Process incoming inventory, including receiving, inspection, and put-away.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick lists or handheld scanners.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product integrity for transit.
- Prepare shipments for various carriers, applying appropriate labels and documentation.
- Conduct quality control checks on picked and packed items.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as cycle counting and stock verification.
- Operate warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area according to company standards.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of required PPE, to prevent workplace injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily fulfillment goals within the logistics chain.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or logistics role is advantageous.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- A desire to learn and grow within the logistics industry.
Physical Demands:
This role demands significant physical activity, including frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and reaching. The ability to stand and walk for the entire shift is essential. Employees are required to follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE, to ensure their well-being in our busy fulfillment and logistics center.
