Our expanding logistics company is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. Your proficiency in operating various forklift models is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods and ensuring inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-certified, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse operations. This is a key position that supports our overall Logistics and distribution efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, propane) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Move, stack, and stage inventory within the warehouse.
- Conduct pre-operation forklift inspections and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Perform tasks that may involve some Lifting of items when not operating equipment.
- Support the Logistics team in optimizing warehouse layout and material flow.
- Follow all procedures for product handling and storage.
