Our Salt Lake City, Utah facility is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our dedicated logistics team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all incoming shipments. You will be responsible for receiving goods, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately entering data into our inventory system. A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized receiving area is paramount. You will work closely with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and contribute to the overall efficiency of our supply chain. If you have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming freight for accuracy and damage.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record all received items into the company's inventory management system.
- Label and stage products for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including mandatory safety regulations and the use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and external vendors regarding receiving issues.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counting, as needed.
- Support the broader logistics operations of the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to safety in the workplace and knowledge of PPE requirements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
