We are looking for a dynamic Picker/Packer to join our logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri! In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing customer orders for shipment. Your responsibilities will include accurately selecting items from our inventory and carefully packaging them to ensure they arrive safely at their destination. A sharp eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to workplace safety are essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Package products securely and appropriately for shipping.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory and update order status.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any issues with inventory, equipment, or safety hazards promptly.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a general warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret order pick lists accurately.
- Experience with RF scanners and inventory tracking systems.
- Capable of performing moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and dedication to using required PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
