You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating variances, and implementing solutions to improve inventory accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Track and manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to minimize obsolescence.
- Assist in the training of warehouse staff on inventory procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory-related problems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
- Uphold all safety standards and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks as needed, typically up to 35 lbs.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain logistics.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
