Job Summary:
Join our fast-paced logistics operation in New York City, New York, as a Forklift Operator. We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and manage the movement of goods within our urban distribution center. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from various warehouse locations, and ensuring that inventory is handled accurately and efficiently. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount in this role. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining a secure and productive environment. Frequent Lifting is involved.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
  • Load and unload trailers and containers with precision.
  • Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Assist with order picking and staging for shipments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to warehouse safety standards.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics network.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and safety awareness.

Qualifications:
Previous experience as a certified Forklift Operator is essential. Valid forklift certification and clean driving record. Ability to perform consistent Lifting (up to 50 lbs). Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and the use of PPE. Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination. Ability to work effectively in a high-volume logistics environment. Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic. Good communication skills. Ability to work flexible shifts if required.
