We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is essential to managing the inflow of goods, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and documenting discrepancies. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for this position, as you will be the first point of contact for incoming inventory. Adherence to safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is a top priority. This role involves some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify incoming inventory against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document all received items and any issues.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Stage incoming goods for processing or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and proper handling procedures.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Support the broader logistics and supply chain functions.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred. Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with inventory management systems. Understanding of warehouse safety and PPE requirements. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Must be reliable and punctual. Basic computer proficiency.
