We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will ensure the efficient and safe movement of goods within the warehouse, supporting shipping and receiving operations. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial to prevent damage to products and ensure proper inventory management. This position requires proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and a strong commitment to Safety protocols. Regular physical activity, including Lifting and maneuvering of materials, is involved. Proper use of PPE is mandatory. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced operators to contribute to our Logistics team. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and placed them in designated areas.
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance on forklifts to ensure operational readiness.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE at all times.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Follow all instructions and directions given by supervisors.
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics . Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting and maneuvering of materials. Strong understanding of forklift Safety procedures and regulations. Must be able to wear required PPE , including safety shoes and a hard hat if applicable. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Experience with different types of forklifts and attachments. Good communication skills. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. Understanding of material handling principles. Eagerness to contribute to the smooth operation of the warehouse. Experience with OSHA regulations related to forklift operation. Proficiency in navigating warehouse aisles and loading docks. Understanding of warehouse Logistics and flow of goods.
