Join our bustling warehouse in Tampa, Florida, as a Material Handler. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our logistics center, involving the movement, storage, and tracking of goods throughout the facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating various types of equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, to transport materials efficiently and safely. You will also assist with loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and maintaining accurate records. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety are paramount. You will be required to adhere to all company safety policies and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, gloves, and high-visibility vests. This position involves significant physical demands, including frequent lifting of items up to 60 lbs, and operating heavy machinery. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial for success. We are committed to fostering a safe and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and maintain inventory stock in designated locations.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational goals.
