Silvervine Cat Clinic is an independently owned feline-only veterinary clinic in Woodbury, MN. Our goal is to provide excellent feline medical and surgical care with the cat's best interests at heart.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The veterinary technician provides gentle, compassionate patient care and positive client experiences for the benefit of cats, their owners, and the clinic. They perform basic exams, administer treatments and anesthesia, obtain diagnostic samples, interpret slides, perform dental cleanings and radiography, monitor patients, educate pet owners, and perform a variety of related services under the direction of the attending veterinarian.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
* Eligible to work in the United States
* Hands-on experience with all aspects of Veterinary Technician work described
* Fear-free cat handling or similar training preferred
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
* Show affection and respect for cats and their people in all interactions
* Reliably attend shifts and complete job duties as assigned
* Manage responsibilities concurrently
* Be adaptable in attitude and work habits
* Work 8:30AM-6:30PM with flexibility to extend work hours beyond 6:30 PM as required
* Work almost constantly in the presence of other staff members and clients
* Be comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods of time
* Be able to lift and carry 50 lbs, climb ladders, bend, and squat
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
