Ideal Auto Service & Tires in downtown Kamloops is expanding again, and we’re looking for a skilled *Journeyman Automotive Technician* to join our team. Ideal Auto Service has served the Kamloops community since 1988. We are known in the community for our fairness and honesty. Kamloops—known as the Tournament Capital of Canada—is located in the stunning Thompson-Okanagan region, often referred to as the _Okanagan Desert_. With over 100 lakes and endless opportunities for fishing, mountain biking, hiking, snowmobiling, and boating, it’s an outdoor lover’s paradise.
*What You’ll Do*
· Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles
· Identify and repair drivability issues
· Work across multiple systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, brakes, and suspension
· Assist in preparing accurate and efficient repair quotes
· Advise customers on future repair and maintenance needs
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
*What You Bring*
· Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Red Seal Automotive Technician certification
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
· Motivation and a desire to excel in your career
