Seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our Sacramento, California location. This position is foundational to our logistics operations, focusing on the accurate processing of all incoming goods. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, inspecting deliveries, matching items to purchase orders, and inputting data into our system. Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential. The role requires physical capability, including regular lifting, and a dedication to maintaining a safe and efficient receiving dock. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight.
- Inspect shipments for damages and discrepancies.
- Verify received items against documentation.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory system promptly and accurately.
- Label and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the receiving area.
- Follow all established safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure the correct application of PPE.
- Communicate any issues or delays to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Support efficient logistics by ensuring accurate receiving data.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
