Join our San Francisco, California team as a Receiving Clerk and play a crucial role in our supply chain operations. You will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment they arrive. Your responsibilities will include unloading delivery vehicles, meticulously checking shipments against purchase orders and invoices, inspecting items for any damage or discrepancies, and accurately documenting all received items into our inventory system. Maintaining an orderly and accessible receiving area is vital for smooth logistics. This role demands physical capability for moderate Lifting and a strong commitment to Safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Accuracy and attention to detail are key to maintaining precise inventory records and supporting the overall efficiency of our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Identify and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area efficiently.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or inventory control role is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Proficiency in data entry and computer systems.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
