We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our facility in Omaha, Nebraska. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, verifying package contents, and coordinating with carriers. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing lists.
- Verify order details against physical products to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely for shipment, selecting appropriate packing materials.
- Operate shipping software to generate labels and track shipments.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with shipping software and order management systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the necessity of PPE.
- Ability to perform some lifting and physical tasks as required.
