Come join our bustling Distribution Center team in Chicago, Illinois, as a Distribution Center Associate! This is a vital role where you'll contribute to the efficient flow of goods from our warehouse to customers. You will be involved in various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a high level of productivity and Safety. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting, and to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Your responsibilities will span multiple functions, providing a diverse and rewarding experience in logistics. We ensure all necessary training and equipment, including appropriate PPE, are provided to support your success. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Stock merchandise accurately and efficiently in designated areas.
- Pick and pack orders according to specific customer requirements.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.
- Follow all guidelines for Lifting and material handling.
Requirements:
Ability to perform frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs). Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Basic math and reading skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks. Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
