We have an immediate opening for an Order Picker in our New York City, New York facility. Join our dedicated logistics team and play a crucial role in fulfilling customer orders with speed and accuracy. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibilities will include accurately retrieving specified items from warehouse shelves using order lists or scanning devices, ensuring the correct quantity and product are selected. You will then prepare these items for shipment, which may involve packaging. This physically active role requires excellent attention to detail and a commitment to efficiency. We prioritize a safe working environment, mandating strict adherence to all safety guidelines and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The position involves frequent walking, bending, and considerable lifting. Previous experience in a similar role or warehouse environment is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and pick products based on order requirements.
- Utilize scanning technology to track inventory and order status.
- Ensure picked items match order specifications in terms of quantity and type.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean picking area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical activity, including frequent lifting.
- Keen attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
