Advance your career in material handling as a Forklift Operator at our state-of-the-art facility in San Jose, California. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods throughout our warehouse, ensuring that inventory is safely and accurately transferred from receiving to storage and to shipping areas. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and moving materials with precision and care. A valid forklift certification is required, along with a strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and logistics operations. We are looking for experienced operators who are reliable, attentive to detail, and committed to maintaining a secure working environment. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting pre-operation checks, performing routine maintenance on equipment, and adhering to all traffic and Safety regulations within the facility. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is important. This position involves significant Lifting and moving of heavy materials, requiring physical dexterity and awareness. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Follow all traffic and Safety rules within the facility.
- Assist with inventory management and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or Logistics environment.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting and material handling tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Willingness to wear and utilize all required PPE.
