We are seeking a motivated and reliable Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Portland, Oregon. As a Picker/Packer, you will be an integral part of our distribution center operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibilities will include locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring all orders are packed with care to prevent damage during transit. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are dedicated to supporting the overall success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations using a pick list or scanning device.
- Inspect products for quality and ensure they meet company standards.
- Pack items securely into boxes or containers, using appropriate packing materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Contribute to team goals by completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and best practices in logistics.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Willingness to perform manual tasks, including some Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse Safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
