Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler in Sacramento, California! We are seeking dedicated individuals to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of materials within our busy distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in receiving, storing, and distributing a wide range of products. Your responsibilities will include operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, to move inventory accurately and safely. We place a high priority on Safety and require all employees to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow strict safety procedures. This physically demanding role requires the ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 75 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Scan and track inventory movement within the warehouse management system.
- Stack, organize, and arrange materials to maximize space utilization.
- Perform regular checks on equipment for maintenance and Safety.
- Follow all company Safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities and assist with stocktaking.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting of up to 75 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Must be committed to wearing required PPE at all times.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in a physically demanding role.
- Previous experience in a logistics or distribution environment is preferred.
