Our Fort Worth, Texas facility is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage our warehouse inventory. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will be vital in ensuring the efficiency and integrity of our logistics operations. We foster a culture of Safety and continuous improvement, and we are looking for an individual who can take ownership of their responsibilities and contribute to our team's success.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor inventory aging and implement strategies for stock rotation (e.g., FIFO).
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Identify and report damaged or obsolete inventory.
- Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations related to inventory handling and storage.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall logistics efficiency.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE when working with certain inventory or in specific areas.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar warehouse inventory role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and WMS software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Familiarity with Safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
