We are seeking diligent and efficient Order Pickers to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and speed of our order fulfillment process. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, prepare them for shipment, and contribute to maintaining an organized and safe work environment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, physical stamina for frequent lifting and movement, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will utilize warehouse technology, such as scanners, to track inventory and update order statuses, playing a vital part in our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player with a reliable work ethic, eager to contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from warehouse locations according to order tickets and pick lists.
- Use handheld scanners and other technology to track inventory and update order progress.
- Pack orders securely, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of picking areas and the overall warehouse.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform regular checks on equipment and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve daily picking and shipping goals.
- Understand and contribute to the overall logistics flow of the distribution center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking, warehousing, or a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order documents accurately.
- Proficiency with scanning devices and basic computer applications.
- Physical ability to perform frequent lifting, reaching, and bending, with a capacity of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding and adherence to safety protocols is essential.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
