Join our dynamic team in Portland, Oregon, as a Material Handler! We are seeking a hardworking and reliable individual to support our warehouse operations. This role is key to the efficient flow of materials within our facility, ensuring that products are moved, stored, and organized effectively. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, stocking shelves, and assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a productive work environment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. We value individuals who are proactive, responsible, and dedicated to quality. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory, and the role involves significant Lifting and movement of goods. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing logistics company.
Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and maintain inventory stock.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure the work area is clean, safe, and free of obstructions.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and company policies.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to operate basic material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting and carrying.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and logistics.
