We are looking for a skilled and dependable Material Handler to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is vital to the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout the facility. Key duties include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining inventory accuracy. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols is crucial. This role involves significant physical activity, including regular lifting of items up to 60 lbs. You must be committed to upholding our high standards of safety, including the diligent use of all required PPE. This is a demanding but rewarding position for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to contribute to a streamlined logistics operation. Experience with various types of warehouse equipment and a focus on efficient material movement are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in warehouse racking systems.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory verification.
- Ensure all materials are handled and stored according to safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Wear all required PPE diligently.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Commitment to adhering to all PPE and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
