Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our logistics operations in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, responsible for accurately checking, documenting, and processing all inbound shipments. Your meticulous attention to detail is vital to maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Verify the accuracy of item counts, descriptions, and quality of received goods.
  • Document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages and report them immediately.
  • Enter received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS) accurately and promptly.
  • Tag and label incoming inventory appropriately.
  • Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including proper handling techniques.
  • Operate forklifts or pallet jacks safely if required.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a similar warehouse role preferred.
  • Proficiency in using scanners and basic computer systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs).
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety and following protocols.
